Kisspeptin-10 10 MG — Reproductive Hormone Signaling Research

Kisspeptin-10 is the active C-terminal fragment of kisspeptin, studied for its activation of the KISS1R (GPR54) receptor and its role as an upstream regulator of GnRH, LH, and FSH release. A focused option for laboratory investigations into reproductive hormone signaling. 10 MG per vial. For laboratory research use only.

Kisspeptin-10 10 MG

Study the signal at the top of the reproductive hormone axis.

Kisspeptin-10 is a ten-amino acid peptide corresponding to residues 45–54 of kisspeptin, the protein encoded by the KISS1 gene. It is the shortest kisspeptin fragment that retains full activity at the kisspeptin receptor, KISS1R (also known as GPR54), a G-protein-coupled receptor found on hypothalamic GnRH neurons.

Kisspeptin signaling is studied as a key upstream regulator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. Activation of KISS1R stimulates the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), which in turn drives luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) secretion from the pituitary. The kisspeptin family was first identified in cancer research as a metastasis suppressor, which is why Kisspeptin-10 is also known as metastin (45–54).

Key Research Areas

  • KISS1R (GPR54) signaling: Investigation of receptor binding and G-protein-coupled signaling in hypothalamic models.
  • GnRH and gonadotropin release: Exploration of LH and FSH secretion dynamics across the HPG axis.
  • Neuroendocrine regulation: Research into puberty onset, reproductive cycling, and how metabolic signals connect to reproductive function.
